Cosmetic Dentistry Before And After Bunker Hill Dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry treatments and procedures are an effective way to improve your smile and get an extra boost of confidence. Taking a close look at before and after images can help you understand what solutions are possible, and you can see the skill level of each dentist. At Bunker Hill Dentistry Dr. Tri Le specializes in smile makeovers. He performs dental implant surgery, installs porcelain veneers, applies dental bonding, and more. We have an entire page dedicated to cosmetic dentistry before and after images, and we wanted to highlight a few cases and give more information about the patient’s needs and Dr. Le’s approach.

A gum lift can transform a smile completely. This patient was unsatisfied with the stubby appearance of her teeth prior to the procedure. The gum lift revealed what was naturally there and she was later treated with orthodontics to straighten out her smile.

This patient came seeking improvement in her teeth. She wore braces in the past but had significant relapse. This time, she was interested in veneers instead of another round of braces, or even Invisalign. As the first photo shows, she also had a “gummy smile” that needed to be corrected. Diagnostic models were done and a gum lift procedure was carried to improve the gingival architecture. Porcelain veneers were later placed and our patient loved the natural looking results.

Veneers And Dental Crowns

This patient came in complaining of short and worn teeth, a result of years of tooth grinding (bruxism) at night. We did diagnostic models and bonding to correct the bite and ensure that the patient was comfortable with the new “length” and not develop any TMJ issue. Once the patient had no symptoms, we prepared the teeth for porcelain bonded-to-metal crowns since we needed the maximize the strength of the crowns for longevity. The final crowns were stable for many, many years.

Dental Implants And Crowns

This patient sought veneers to correct the rotation and improve the appearance of her 2 front teeth. The right front incisor had a history of trauma, root canal treatment, root resorption and infection destroying the facial bone thus making prognosis hopeless. Because she was getting married in 3 months, we could not consider orthodontic treatment to correct rotation of the left central incisor. We did diagnostic model, extracted her right central incisor, and grafted with bone and membrane. We then prepared the left tooth for a crown and temporized them with the left temporary crown holding the right tooth, all within 2 hours. The temporary crowns were so nice that she got married with them while waiting for the bone graft to integrate. Six months later, the right central incisors were replaced as well as the temporary crowns. We waited 6 more months for the implant to be well integrated before finishing the case with crowns on both central incisors.
